Talked the problems over with Ross at length and he came to the conclusion that it was not a gearbox related fault, where they could have taken the car in and charged me unnecessarily. Neither have had any problems so far and in fact run considerably better. The first van has done 60k miles since it was replaced as well and is still as smooth as silk.
